SEPLSO INTERLIBRARY LOAN

Wikipedia's Interlibrary Loan article

Southeastern Public Library System of Oklahoma is a member of OCLC (symbol: OKI) and participates in the Amigos and LVIS sharing agreements.  We also borrow and loan via the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL) State Catalog, which allows us to share our resources with many of the smaller libraries throughout our State.

     Fiscal 05/06

Loaned OCLC 2029 2409
Loaned State Cat. 2801 1927
Loaned Total 4830 4336
Borrowed OCLC 1302 1675
Borrowed State Cat. 684 618
Borrowed Total 1986 2293

Each of our 15 branches has at least one staff member trained in ILL procedures, so our patrons can request items locally through their hometown library.  All OCLC borrowing and lending is mediated through the ILL Coordinator at the SEPLSO Service Center in McAlester.  State Catalog transactions are handled by the individual branches.

SEPLSO is proud to be a free lender to other libraries, and we charge our patrons only a minimal fee ($1.50) to cover postage for borrowed items.

Statistics

Here are some of the statistics I provided for Wayne last month (requires Microsoft Excel to view).

On 8/10/07, I added a chart showing all borrow/loan activity (OCLC, Autographics and Interbranch) for 7/07:    percentages.xls

Resources

  • McAlester's new ILL request form -- what do you think?
          ill_request_mpl.doc

  • Optional routing slip for requesting interbranch loans by fax (cut/paste item info from Workflows):
